
Jason Walsh
Jason Walsh joined Create Medicines in September 2024, bringing extensive leadership experience across finance, technology commercialization, business development, and general management. Prior to joining Create, as Chief Financial Officer of Curate Biosciences, he secured Curate’s first venture capital financing from Amgen Ventures and Vensana Capital, led several subsequent financings, and guided the company through its exit in early 2024 to a strategic acquirer.
During a decade-plus tenure at Corning Incorporated, he demonstrated operational leadership and strategic acquisition across a variety of roles. As General Manager of an acquired life sciences product business, he doubled revenues through disciplined product line expansion and international market development. In senior strategic roles, he served as Operations Chief of Staff and Director of Strategic Planning, supporting Corning’s Chairman/CEO and President/COO. Walsh’s transaction expertise spans both buy-side and sell-side M&A, including the $1.3 billion acquisition of SmithKline’s laboratory business as Vice President of Corporate Development at Quest. He also was a consultant and entrepreneur-in-residence with McKinsey & Company.
Mr Walsh has contributed to the life science ecosystem, serving as Vice Chair of the Virginia Catalyst Fund and a Director of Virginia BIO. He has also served on the boards of St. John’s College, Sail Newport, and the New York Yacht Club.
Mr Walsh earned his BA from St. John’s College (Annapolis) and MBA from Harvard Business School.
